Forum Post: Sending statements to vendors -- with letters
I doing a large reconciliation project -- four years of data imported into Sage 300. We've done our best to match payments to vendor invoices, etc. -- but we still have 351 pages of A/P outstanding invoices and credit notes. I think it would be faster to ask the vendors for help, rather than to keep looking for these invoices in our system. So, in my perfect world, I'd like to send a statement to each vendor -- much like an A/R statement, but these are for vendors. In my even-more-perfect world, I'd like this statement to go out with a letter without our having to collate two piles. I'd like to press a button and a letter and statement would be prepared for each vendor who has outstanding transactions (invoices, credit notes, or both). Can by idea of a vendor statement be embedded in a form letter? Anyone who can help me with this -- as a freelancer or otherwise? Thanks! Craig

Has anyone had an issue with the Sage 300 Financial Statement Designer freezing Outlook and Word when we produce a statement with the "Report As: Separate" selection. Financial reports don't freeze Outlook until we choose to create a "separate" report inside the Statement Designer. When we do that it creates the extra Excel document with one tab for each separate segment. The statement creation process works perfectly fine and is not broken, the issue is that it freezes other Microsoft applications like Word or Outlook until the statement is completed.

Hi there, The old environment worked which was Windows V7, Office V2013, Sage V2014. They had a few workstations upgrade to Windows V10, Office V2016, and still Sage V2014. At that time we started having the issue with Outlook and Word freezing. We just completed an ugprade for Sage 300 from V2014 to V2018 hoping their may be some change, but there was not. So current issue is with Windows V10, Office V2016 and Sage V2018

Hi Connie, One of my clients has the exact specs but has no issue with running as separate. We have not done anything special at the workstation. they do have local admin privileges on the workstation. What happens if you launch Sage with "Run as Administrator?"

Be careful, once one program is set to run as admin, all the others need to be, too, or you'll get side effects.
