You have a bad install. Were you logged on to the workstation as a domain Admin? Also, when running Regacc you have to browse to the Runtime folder on the server and do "Run as Administrator" to get around UAC.

This happens if some of the licenses have company names that do not match. So check your licenses.

Either (1) you have illegal software or (2) sometime in the past somebody activated a module and spelled the company differently than before.

Usually means an updated tax table is installed and activated for the database but not install on that computer. Can you see the Government Reports icon under Payroll? If not install the tax updates

Forum Post: Limitations in Sage 300 online - copied from THAT forum (no responses)

I posted this a few hours ago and not had a response. This is a more active forum so thought I would try re-posting here. We have someone who pretty much just needs a vanilla Sage 300 install. They are a membership-based service organization, so we're looking at financial modules only. However, they have a website that does AR transactions for them (when service is sold) and they want to push that data into Sage300, preferably by an 'API', alternatively by a file that is sent across from the website to the Sage 300 application. I've never looked into what limitations there might be in a Sage 300 online installation - does what they want to do seem possible (at least in theory)?

You will not be able to push the transactions automatically using the on-line version.

Sage 300 online is just RDP, so you can run macros.

Actually Sage 300 Online does NOT permit macros. Sage 300 Hosted does though.

I stand corrected. Maybe that's why we have zero customers on it.

Forum Post: Inserting a running total from a Formula field to OE Invoice report

To all Sage300 Report and/or Crystal Report gurus: I have an item optional field that holds a number value that I need to use to compute a quantity for each line item for which I need a running total in the footer in the OE invoice report (OEINV01.rpt). The Optional field table is not part of the Database fields for that report which uses OEINPR3.DLL. What I did is create a subreport on table icitemo to get my optional field value. I created a formula field with a Shared variable to pass the value to the main report in the subreport. On the main report I created another formula field to use the shared value which I multiply by the QtyOrdered. Crystal Report is not allowing me to create a running total on that formula field. Does anyone know how I can achieve a running total? TIA

1. Don't use the datapiped report OEINV01.rpt, use the ODBC report OEINV04.rpt 2. Link the optional fields table with a left outer join - in case not all records have an optional field value. If you have multiple optional fields then you may need to filter on optional field name. Now your running total should be able to use the optional field.

Hi folks! I have an error that occurs when processing import from a third party to Sales Orders : " Order detail Attempt to change read-only filed "Quantity Ordered". it was working fine before, I'm using 2012 PU2. Any help?

Call the 3rd party, it's their program.

Not sure about the "Quantity Ordered" field, but we have seen "Order Detail Attempt to change read-only field Order Complete". In this case the problem was a discrepancy between the header and details.
