Recently converted a Customer with Serialized inventory (53B) to Sage 300 2014. In order entry, the serial numbers are showing up in the shipment line item, but not the invoice line item. Therefore when we try to do a credit note against an invoice the system will not allow it. Is this the way the conversion is supposed to work? Dos anyone have a workaround or a fix?

Is there a way I can add extra tax on the timecard and have the system still calculate the tax and add the numbers together? Currently when I add a tax in the time card it overrides the calculation and only shows my amount as the deduction.

Good afternoon Forum, Again I have a pretty basic question and I hope that will be as helpful and patient with me as you have been before.. :) The problem I am having is that I need to pay out the accrued vacation of an employee. He didn’t take vacation this year and we would like to pay him. Question is: How do I do that? In the timecard entry I have the option of V8 accrual and V8 payment. The first is to collect accrued vacation pay for future use as vacation and the latter is in case the employee takes vacation and still gets paid in his absence. That works fine for these two cases but how do I pay out the accrued amount? Do I need to set up a new category? Thanks Marcus

When generating an inventory worksheet, a customer receives the error 'The inventory worksheet contains errors or unposted data. Do you want to generate a new inventory worksheet?" My assumption is that they need to run DEP. Is that correct? Also, what happens if they just say 'yes' to generating a new worksheet? This is Sage 300 v 2014. (and I thought I had posted this a little while back but haven't seen it come through so reposting). Thanks.

Will be looking to replace Sage Timberline. It is just getting clunkier and slower and our frustrations are getting larger. Reports that three months ago printed in seconds now that over an hour. Performance is just plain lousy. Not a happy user. Now I find that Sage has known about the print problem for some time and it's still not fixed? Totally unacceptable. Don't get me started on the Purchase Order Module and the update we were told was coming in 2009 and it's still not here. I will be looking at other programs and recommending to the front office we dump Sage Timberline unless they get their act together and fix it soon.

In cases like this you have to do a credit note that is not applied to an invoice.

Restore your database from backup before the activation, and make sure data integrity is clean. When you try the activation again, run Rvspy with Dbspy for data on where the error might be occurring.

It's not an error, it's a warning. The inventory worksheet contains errors or unposted data. Delete it or replace it.

No, just do a timecard with the type of "Payment". It doesn't matter whether you're paying a balance or the emplyee actually took the vacation - you pay it the same way.

No - you need to go into the Taxes tab of that employee and add it as a fixed, extra amount. Then remove it once you're posted the check.

A customer purchased a time clock system from Acumen who are now asking for us to supply a template for importing time from their clocks. Is it as 'easy' as taking data from an existing timecard entry and send it to them to match? Or is there a utility somewhere that can help? Thanks.
