Hi All I have a client running 6.3. I have a application that sends calls via message queue and a service that then reads said queues and integrates into 300. we had a terminal server where integration sed to be running but about a week ago that server fell over due to high work load as all their users used the TS server. Our Integration service was running on that server with no errors or hickups for a few years now. To eliminate the high load on the ts server we got an application server going. once i installed the service there the integration works but every now and then it falls over and the only error i can get is the following dbslink.c - 1274 - ==>No free links in event viewer. I can't seem to find any info on this error except from stephen smith's blog where he talks about opening to many links without closing them. I however cannot take this as the error as that would mean that the service should have given this error on the other server as well which is still up and running with no issues. I have also spoken to 5 other integration developers that have been integrating with 300 since the dos days and they also could not help. Please can someone give me some advice or point me in the right direction??

Sage2018 SP2 new server. office 2010, when you launch statement designer comes up with error "cmdStart : Error on opening the xla macro.", if you click close says "cannot run macro RemoveAutoStartFiles" excel macros are enabled and VBA enabled too. any solutions

I would go into the code and have a look to make sure that you're closing everything down properly. Run rvSpy/dbSpy and see if the links are staying open. While I, too, have uttered the sentence "but nothing has changed" many times in the past, there's nothing that anyone can do with the information that you've given us above.

Hi friends I am unable to ignore tax on freight. For example : suppose I have an order with Items Subtotal = 7000 Miscellaneous Charges Total = 200 Less Order Discount = 500 Plus Excluded Tax = 1340 Plus Excluded Tax is applied on "Miscellaneous Charges Total" also. But, I don't want it to be applied on freight. For these "Plus Excluded Tax" amount should be 1300. How to set up tax such that it will not apply tax on freight? Please help me on these as I am middle of my project. Thanks Avijit

Forum Post: Sage 300 2017 PU2 - "From Email Address" not working
Has anyone had any success is using a default "From Email Address" in the Company Profile setup - Email tab? I have tested multiple times using multiple From Email addresses that exist on the domain but the email coming in from Sage is always from me (I am logged in and testing the sending of emails from Sage). Will it only work with user emails or can an Exchange distribution email address work? The 'help' is not very helpful. Thank you for any input.

I just upgraded from Sage 5.5 to Sage 300 2018. I couldn't see all the users from the user list even I copied the USER folder. When I tried to add current user, I got the error message: "Record has been modified by another program" Does anybody know anything about this?

It sounds like you moved servers, too. Did you copy the Site folder or did you re-create the database setup entries?

Yes. We upgraded from pervasive to SQL also. We re-created the database setup entries.

Forum Post: Sage 300 2018 - Errors Post O/E Order Entry
Hi All, Does anyone encounter similar issues before when do posting in O/E Shipment Entry? That's screenshot given by one of our client whom is using Sage 300 2018. That client claimed that he/she was trying to post 148 lines of data, but ended up with errors. He/she has split the shipment into two different entries, and the error is no longer there. What's the caused of the error msg? We did try to simulate the error msg above, but failed to. We got the following error msg after load the same data and restart maintenance. We tried to do ship all from O/E Order Entry screen, and tick "Create invoice", and Post. We're given the following error msg. We did check that not shipment next number and invoice next number caused the problem. Hope someone can enlighten us regarding above mentioned errors. Thanks.

You've got some database issues at this point. You can run the rvSpy utility to help diagnose where the problems are and see what is stopping the transaction from posting. As for your data, if you're not comfortable editing the data then you'll want to contact a data repair specialist like Musick International

Hi I would like to know if it's possible to add in security controls such that a branch in a certain region only has access to customers in that region? [multiple branches using one company on sage 300] Basically only the head office will have access to the global list of customers and, each branch will only be able to see/access/edit the customers in their location. Are these users copying and pasting text (from a PDF or web page or something like that) and pasting it into the detail optional fields? Sometimes some hidden, invalid characters get pasted as well. Best to key in those values, or make sure only text is being copied.
